Getting There

• Public Transport

  Start at the Laramie Transit Center located at 500 S 3rd St, Laramie, WY 82070. Take the Wyoming Transit bus that operates towards the western outskirts of Laramie. Ensure you check the schedule ahead of time, as buses may not run frequently. Get off at the closest stop to US-287 (Wyoming Highway 11). From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along US-287. Follow the sidewalk on the right side of the road, and look out for the signs leading to Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse EcoSanctuary, which will be on your left at 599 WY-11.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Laramie. Head south on S 3rd St until you reach E Grand Ave. Turn left on E Grand Ave and continue until you reach US-287. Turn right onto US-287 and cycle for approximately 1.5 miles. Make sure to ride on the designated bike path or the shoulder, and watch for traffic. Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse EcoSanctuary will be on your left at 599 WY-11.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and prefer to walk, start from the downtown area of Laramie. Head south on S 3rd St, then turn left onto E Grand Ave. Continue straight until you reach US-287. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and turn right onto US-287. Walk along the road for about 1.5 miles. Be cautious of traffic and stay on the sidewalk where available. Look for Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse EcoSanctuary on your left at 599 WY-11.
