Car
From Cody, WY, take US-14 W towards Yellowstone National Park. After approximately 50 miles, you'll reach the East Entrance of Yellowstone. Continue on Grand Loop Rd for about 10 miles. Liberty Cap will be on your right, just past the Mammoth Hot Springs area. Make sure to have a valid park entrance pass, which costs $35 for a private vehicle.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Cody to the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park via the Yellowstone National Park shuttle service. Once you arrive at the East Entrance, you'll need to transfer to the park shuttle that operates within Yellowstone. Take the shuttle towards Mammoth Hot Springs. Get off at the Liberty Cap stop. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule as it may vary by season.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike from Cody to the East Entrance. The ride is approximately 50 miles, with some steep sections. Once you arrive at the entrance, you can continue biking along Grand Loop Rd. Keep in mind that biking within the park requires a valid entrance pass, and it is important to wear safety gear and remain aware of wildlife.
