If you are starting in the Snowy Range area, head southeast on WY-130 E towards Laramie. Continue on WY-130 E for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with WY-230 S. Take a left on WY-230 S and follow it for about 10 miles. You will then turn right onto Forest Road 317 (also known as the Snowy Range Scenic Byway) which leads you directly to the Crater Lake Trailhead. The trailhead is located at the end of the road, where you will find parking available on-site.
