If you're driving from the Wind River Range, head east on WY-28 towards Lander. Continue for approximately 28 miles until you reach the junction with US-287. Turn left onto US-287 North and follow it for about 20 miles. As you approach Riverton, take the exit for WY-789/US-26 East. Follow this for about 3 miles, then turn right onto E Park Ave. Continue for about 0.5 miles, and the Riverton Museum will be on your left at 700 E Park Ave, Riverton, WY 82501.
Public Transportation
To reach Riverton Museum via public transportation, take the bus from Lander to Riverton. The bus service operates a few times a day, so check the schedule in advance. Upon arrival in Riverton, disembark at the Riverton Transit Center. From there, you can either walk approximately 0.7 miles east along E Main St, then turn left on S 7th St, and continue until you reach E Park Ave. Turn right, and the museum will be on your left. Alternatively, you can use a local taxi service if you prefer not to walk.
