If you are traveling by car, start from Hadibo, the capital of Socotra Island. Head east on the main road towards Qalansiyah. After about 45 kilometers, you will reach a fork. Take the left turn towards Detwah Lagoon. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers; you will see signs guiding you to the lagoon. Be aware that the road can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a shared taxi from Hadibo to Qalansiyah. The fare is usually around 2,000 YER per person. Once you reach Qalansiyah, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a guide to take you the remaining 15 kilometers to Detwah Lagoon. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which could be around 10,000 to 15,000 YER depending on the negotiation.

If you are adventurous and close to Detwah Lagoon, you can choose to walk from Qalansiyah. Follow the coastal path that leads you directly to the lagoon.
