Car
From Batoka Gorge, head south on the A8 highway towards Siavonga. The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Siavonga, follow the signs to Kariba Dam. As you approach, you will need to take a left turn onto FQH6+5M3, which will lead you directly to the dam entrance. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee to access the dam area.
Public Transportation
Start by taking a local minibus or taxi from Batoka Gorge to Siavonga. The fare is typically around ZMW 20-30. Once you reach Siavonga, you can either walk or take a taxi to Kariba Dam. If you choose to walk, it's about a 15-minute walk from the main town center to the dam entrance. Alternatively, taxis from Siavonga to Kariba Dam may cost around ZMW 30-50.
