Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Lusaka and head towards the Central Province. Take the Great East Road (T4) until you reach the turn-off for the Kafue Road (A1). Continue on A1 until you see signs for Nyambwezu Falls. The falls are located approximately 15 kilometers off the main road. Follow local signs leading to the falls. Note that the road may be unpaved, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. There may be a small entrance fee to access the falls, usually around ZMW 20 per person.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Nyambwezu Falls via public transportation, take a bus from Lusaka to Kabwe. Once in Kabwe, you will need to find a local minibus heading towards Mumbwa. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Nyambwezu area. From there, you might need to hire a local taxi or walk to the falls, which are about 5 kilometers from the main road. Be prepared for a short hike if you choose to walk. The total cost for the bus ride should be around ZMW 100 - ZMW 150, and local transport from the drop-off point to the falls may cost an additional ZMW 50 - ZMW 100.
