The dam is located just outside the main town area, and you may need to ask locals for specific directions as the area can be somewhat rural.

To reach Makoma Dam via public transport, take a bus or a taxi from Ndola to Luanshya. Buses frequently depart from the main bus station in Ndola. The fare is typically around ZMW 20-30. Once in Luanshya, you can take a local taxi to the dam location at VC48+HGV. Expect to pay about ZMW 10-20 for this taxi ride. Be sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
