Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Kalambo Falls to Mutambe Akasuba, start by heading south on the main road towards the town of Nakonde. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for a sign indicating the direction to Bulaya. Turn onto the road heading towards Bulaya and continue for about 5 kilometers. Once you reach Bulaya, look for the coordinates 33XP+77. Your destination will be on the right side of the road. Make sure to have a GPS device or map app handy as some areas may not be well-marked.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mutambe Akasuba by public transport, first, you need to take a local minibus from Kalambo Falls to Nakonde. Minibuses depart regularly from the main taxi rank. The fare is usually around 15 Zambian Kwacha. Once you arrive in Nakonde, look for a minibus or shared taxi heading towards Bulaya. The fare for this leg is typically around 10 Zambian Kwacha. Inform the driver you are going to the coordinates 33XP+77 in Bulaya. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to reach Mutambe Akasuba.

• Walking

  If you are already in Bulaya and prefer to walk to Mutambe Akasuba, head towards the coordinates 33XP+77. The area is relatively small, and the walk should take about 15-20 minutes from the center of Bulaya. Follow local paths that lead in the direction of the coordinates, and ask locals for directions if needed. Be cautious of your surroundings as some paths may not be well-maintained.
