Travel Guide to Victoria Falls

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Livingstone, head south on Mosi-O-Tunya Road. Continue walking straight for about 5 kilometers. You will pass local shops and residential areas. As you approach the entrance to Victoria Falls National Park, you will see signs indicating the way. The entrance to the park is located on your left. The park gate is where you will need to purchase your ticket to access the falls.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Livingstone. Start on Mosi-O-Tunya Road, heading south. The distance to Victoria Falls is approximately 5 kilometers. Follow the road signs, and you will pass by various shops and hotels along the way. Look out for the entrance to Victoria Falls National Park on your left. Once you arrive, lock your bike at the designated area before heading to the park entrance.

• Taxi

  You can easily hire a taxi from any point in Livingstone. Simply ask your hotel for assistance or find a taxi stand nearby. Provide the driver with the destination: Victoria Falls National Park. The journey is about 5 kilometers and should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off at the main entrance of the park where you can purchase your ticket to enter.

• Public Transport (Minibuses)

  Locate a minibus station in Livingstone. Board any minibus that is heading towards Victoria Falls or simply ask locals for directions to the right minibus. The fare is usually very affordable. The minibuses will drop you off close to the entrance of Victoria Falls National Park. From there, it’s a short walk to the main entrance where you can buy your ticket.
