Swing Over the Gorge: An Adrenaline-Pumping Adventure in Livingstone

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Livingstone, start at the Livingstone Museum located on Museum Road. Head south on Museum Road until you reach the roundabout. Continue straight onto Mosi-Oa-Tunya Road. After about 1 kilometer, you'll see signs for the Victoria Falls entrance on your left. Follow the signs, and take a left turn onto the path leading towards the Falls. Continue along this path for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Victoria Falls National Park. After entering the park, follow the trail signs to the Swing over Gorge site, which is just a short walk from the entrance.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Livingstone. Start at the Livingstone Museum and ride south on Museum Road. At the roundabout, keep straight onto Mosi-Oa-Tunya Road. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you see the signs for Victoria Falls on your left. Turn left and proceed about 2 kilometers to the entrance of Victoria Falls National Park. Once inside, follow the signs for the Swing over Gorge, which is a short ride away.

  Locate the mini-bus station in Livingstone, typically near the town center. Look for a bus heading towards Victoria Falls. Get on the mini-bus and inform the driver you want to go to the Swing over Gorge. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of Victoria Falls National Park. From there, take the well-marked walking trail towards the Swing over Gorge, which is just a short walk from the park entrance.
