    From any location in Northern Province, head towards the town of Lusaka. If you are starting from a city like Ndola, follow the Great East Road (A1) to Lusaka. Once you reach Lusaka, take the Great North Road (A1) heading north towards Kitwe, continuing until you reach the junction for the road leading to the Kafue National Park. From the Kafue National Park entrance, take the road to the western part of the park and follow the signs to Busanga Plains. Be prepared for some unpaved roads; a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended due to rough terrain. The distance from Lusaka to Busanga Plains is approximately 600 km, and the journey can take around 10-12 hours.

    First, take a bus from Ndola, Kitwe, or Lusaka to the nearest major town, which is Kasanka. Buses are available from major bus stations and cost between 150 ZMW to 300 ZMW.
