Getting There

Car
If you're driving from the city of Kasama, head east on the T2 road towards Mbala. Continue on this road for about 120 kilometers until you reach the town of Mbala. Once in Mbala, follow signs for the Kalambo Falls, which is located approximately 25 kilometers south of the town. The last part of the journey involves a turn onto a gravel road leading directly to the falls. Be cautious as the road can be bumpy and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season.

To reach Kalambo Falls using public transport, you can take a bus from Kasama to Mbala. Buses leave frequently and the journey takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Mbala, you can take a local taxi or a shared minibus heading south towards the falls. Make sure to mention Kalambo Falls to the driver. The minibus ride should take around 30 minutes. Note that you might need to negotiate a fare for the taxi if you choose that option.
