Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Solwezi, head north on Independence Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Independence Road. Walk along Independence Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Bushfire Lodge will be on your right-hand side. Look for the sign indicating the lodge.

• Bicycle

  From the Solwezi town center, start cycling north on Independence Avenue. Continue straight towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Independence Road. Cycle along Independence Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will find Bushfire Lodge on your right. It's a short ride and a pleasant route.

• Public Transport (Bus or Minibus)

  To reach Bushfire Lodge using public transport, find a minibus heading towards the Solwezi Market or the route that goes along Independence Avenue. Inform the driver or conductor that you want to get off at the Bushfire Lodge stop. Once you arrive at the lodge area, walk back along Independence Road for a few meters if necessary, as the lodge will be located on your right. Ensure you ask the locals or the driver for the best drop-off point, as stops may vary.

• Taxi (Boda Boda or Bicycle Taxi)

  You can easily find a taxi or a Boda Boda (bicycle taxi) in the city center. Tell the driver to take you to Bushfire Lodge on Independence Road. The ride should be quick, and you can enjoy some local sights along the way. Just make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
