If you are driving from the town of Kasama, head southeast on the M1 highway. Continue for about 60 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Chishimba Falls. Look for signs indicating 'Chishimba Falls' which will lead you onto a gravel road. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Chishimba Falls. There is a small parking area available. Be prepared for a small entrance fee which may cost around 20 Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Chishimba Falls via public transportation, start at the Kasama bus station. Take a minibus heading towards Mpika or Chinsali. Inform the driver that you are going to Chishimba Falls. The bus journey takes around 1.5 hours and costs approximately 30 ZMW. Once you reach the turnoff for Chishimba Falls, you will need to walk about 10 kilometers along the gravel road to the falls. It's advisable to ask locals for directions if you're unsure.
Taxi
If you're looking for a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Kasama to Chishimba Falls. This option offers convenience but may be more costly, typically ranging from 150 to 200 ZMW depending on negotiation. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the falls. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
