If you are driving to Old Mondoro Camp, start from Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia. Take the Great East Road (A3) southeast for about 150 kilometers until you reach the town of Chirundu. From Chirundu, continue on the A3 for another 40 kilometers towards the Zambezi River. Look for signs to the Lower Zambezi National Park. As you approach the park entrance, follow the gravel roads leading into the park until you reach the coordinates 9MCR+4MC, Lower Zambezi National Park, Rufunsa. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads, and be prepared for potential wildlife crossings.

To reach Old Mondoro Camp via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Lusaka to Chirundu. Buses leave frequently from the Intercity Bus Terminus. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours and costs around ZMW 50-100. Once you arrive in Chirundu, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local transport to take you to the Lower Zambezi National Park entrance. This portion of the journey may cost around ZMW 200-400.
