Car
From the Eastern Highlands, take the A5 road heading west. Continue on the A5 for approximately 140 kilometers until you reach the town of Makuti. Here, you will find signs directing you to Mana Pools National Park. Follow the signs onto the B5 road towards the park entrance. The last stretch is a gravel road, so be cautious and drive slowly. The park entrance is located at approximately -15.939162, 29.469725.
Public Transport
Start from any location in the Eastern Highlands and head to the nearest bus terminal, such as in Nyanga or Mutare. Take a bus heading to Harare. Once you reach Harare, transfer to a bus that goes to Kariba. After arriving in Kariba, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange for a transfer to Mana Pools National Park, which is about 70 kilometers away. Note that taxi fares can vary, so it's advisable to negotiate the price upfront.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from the Eastern Highlands to Mana Pools National Park. Discuss the fare with the driver before starting the journey. The drive will take several hours, and costs can range from $80 to $150 depending on the starting point and negotiation. Ensure the taxi driver is familiar with the route to the park.
