To reach the Kariba Dam from the center of Siavonga, start at the Siavonga Market. Exit the market and turn left onto the main road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction. At the junction, turn right. You will see signs pointing towards the Kariba Dam. Follow the road for another 1.5 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to the Kariba Dam on your left.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Siavonga, start from the Siavonga Waterfront area. Head east along the lakeshore path until you reach the main road. Turn left onto the main road and cycle straight for approximately 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Kariba Dam. Once you spot the entrance on your right, you can park your bicycle and head inside.
Public Transport (Local Bus)
From Siavonga, you can take a local bus heading to the Kariba Dam. Go to the bus station located near the Siavonga Market. Look for buses with signs indicating 'Kariba' or 'Dam'. Board the bus, and it will take you directly to the dam. The ride usually takes around 30 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the Kariba Dam.
