From the nearest park entry point in Mana Pools National Park, travel towards the main entrance at the intersection of the Zambezi River. Take the road leading north towards Makuti. This is a gravel road, so be cautious and drive slowly. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the junction for Phundundu. Follow the signs towards Makuti, and as you get closer, keep an eye out for additional directional markers. The final stretch will be on a dirt road; at this point, it's advisable to have a 4x4 vehicle due to the terrain. Once you arrive at the coordinates M7CX+Q8P, you will find Phundundu marked clearly.

While public transportation options are limited within Mana Pools National Park, you can take a taxi or shuttle service from the nearest town, Kariba, to Makuti.
