Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Marondera. Head west on the A5 highway towards Harare. After approximately 70 km, you will reach the junction for the A4 highway. Take the A4 highway towards Bulawayo. Continue on the A4 for about 200 km until you reach the town of Kwekwe. From Kwekwe, take the A6 highway south towards Gweru. After about 30 km, watch for signs indicating Khami Ruins. Turn off the A6 and follow the local roads towards the Khami Ruins, which are located just outside the city of Bulawayo. Ensure you have a GPS or map handy as the last few kilometers may not be well marked.

For those using public transport, take a bus from Marondera to Harare. Once in Harare, transfer to a bus heading to Bulawayo. The journey will take several hours, so be prepared for a long trip. In Bulawayo, you will need to take a local taxi or shared ride (commonly referred to as a 'kombie') to reach Khami Ruins. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Khami Ruins, as it is a popular destination. Be aware that taxi fares can vary, and it’s wise to negotiate the price beforehand.
