Walking
From the center of Masvingo, head east on the main street (Robert Mugabe Way) towards the Masvingo Bus Rank. Once you reach the bus rank, you can take a shared taxi (commonly known as 'kombi') heading towards Mushandike. Ensure to ask the driver if they are going to Mushandike, as they often have specific routes. The kombi will drop you off at the nearest point to Mushandike National Park, which is approximately 24 kilometers from the bus rank.
Shared Taxi (Kombi)
After reaching the Mushandike drop-off point, you will need to walk towards the entrance of Mushandike National Park. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions as you make your way. The park entrance is well-marked. It’s advisable to carry a map or have a mobile device with GPS for navigation. Make sure to check the entrance hours and any requirements for entry.
Local Transport
If you are not comfortable walking from the drop-off point, you can ask locals for a bicycle rental or any available local transport services. This can make your journey easier and quicker, especially if you are carrying luggage. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
