    I was very disappointed to receive a vague email from Viator the night before our tour, stating that our tour had been canceled by the cruise company. There was no explanation of why and no apology. I would have expected a simple apology and reason for the cancelation. I had to scramble to find another cruise at the last minute.

    This tour was very well organised with extremely helpful hosts and a comfortable boat with ample padded seating for the 4 guests aboard. We were impressed at how flexible they were as we made a mistake with the start time and missed the boat to Tua but they suggested we did the trip in reverse and catch the train to Tua, returning by boat which we did. The Douro views are stunning on both the train and boat rides. The lunch was in a traditional Portuguese restaurant which is popular with locals and was generous, delicious and came with carafes of wine. A very good tour.

    Very good experience. From the calm waters of the Douro, we enjoy wonderful views of the entire riverbank, the laborious shape of the port vineyards and the charming and friendly treatment of the staff.

    The whole experience was so much fun, loved being on the boat, taking the train ride to and from the restaurant. Our lunch was magnificent. The spread was incredible, so much to eat, so much choice and we were so well looked after. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Portugal!

    Nice leisurely trip down the Douro River. It was just the four of us in the smaller boat. Much better than being on the bigger tourist boats. Train rider and lunch were great! Leandro and Telmo were great guides.

    Our clients will have a cruise for 1h15m (máx. 15 people) with a welcome Port or Sparkling Wine (Courtesy Water Bottle also). You will have lunch at Traditional Restaurant (lunch "á la carte" included*) where they will taste local delicacies and the traditional Douro cuisine. After they return to Pinhão by train (Ticket's not included) along the river with some of the most beautiful landscapes of this wine region. Arriving to Pinhão Train Station they will be able to see exclusive hand painted tiles, representing stages of the harvest, costumes and images of the terraced landscape.
