    My husband and I had such a great time visiting the sanctuary. Our tour guide Atziri was so informative, patient and kind. It is evident how much she cares for the animals and how passionate she is about educating her tour group (or as she says her “familia”). Gracias por esta experiencia divertida y memorable!

    We had a brilliant time at the money sanctuary. My husband and I are massive animal fans and this tour was better than we hoped. Angel was an amazing guide and was very knowledgeable about all the animals giving us their back story as well informing us on the projects the sanctuary has for the future. Our encounter with the Chapuchin was brilliant and was my highlight of our honeymoon. We will definetly be returning in the future to see how the sanctuary and animals are.

    Such a fun time!! Everything was amazing. Definitely recommend going if you’re nearby. It is outdoors so wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen!!

    We had a wonderful time at the sanctuary, even though it was HOT!! Our tour guide Angel was GREAT, very knowledgeable about the animals & environment (more than just monkeys reside at this sanctuary). He explaned how the sanctuary was run, how they acquired the animals & the process. Also, about the release program & how they work to reintroduce the animals into the jungle. We would highly recommend this tour (& did to people we met at our resort). Again, Great work Akumal Monkey Sanctuary!

    The tour and monkey sanctuary was great highly recommend! I am giving it a one star review because I paid for a transfer to and from my hotel through the sanctuary But my driver stoped and picked up some random construction guy and pulled over in the middle of the high way to let him out !! On the transfer back

    At Tulum Adventures, we understand that getting to the sanctuary can sometimes be a challenge, so we offer optional round-trip transfer services to make your visit as smooth as possible. To arrange a transfer, guests just need to provide their hotel or accommodation name and address — we’ll take care of the rest! Just to clarify for future visitors: the transfer fee is not included in the tour price and can be paid upon arrival at the sanctuary. The cost is $15 USD per person from Tulum up to Puerto Morelos. This includes transportation with licensed drivers and full support from our coordination team. We hope this helps guests better plan their experience with us!
