    Marcio was a fantastic guide! Great personality and super knowledgeable. This is 1 of the highlights of my trip! Totally worth it. If I didnt have other activities booked I would have went twice!!

    This is a must-do if you’re adventurous and looking for a fun way to spend the day! It was definitely more intense than we expected, but what a thrill! The experience was made even better by Pete and Spence, our amazing (and hilarious) guides. They clearly know their way around every inch of that gorge and made us feel safe even while we were hurling ourselves from rocks and sliding into rapids. My 9 year-old daughter was too nervous to do some of the jumps and Pete and Spence both went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and provide alternate options. Pete even had her help hold everyone’s legs as we all went head-first down a slide and she could not have been happier. Thanks to you both, from “the Americans!” Overall a fantastic day and I highly recommend it.

    This was a memorable trip for our family of 4 (two teens age 17). Marcio and his whole crew made sure that we were always safe, and, most of all, having fun!! The jumps, slides, and rappelling will lasts us memories for a lifetime! Thank you everyone for these wonderful memories!!! You all deserve a big raise!

    I couldn’t recommend this day out more! My boyfriend and I had Marcio as our instructor and he was fantastic. He catered to you no matter your level of ability and made sure you were having fun thought out the whole day. If you could do any tour in Cairns this is the one to do!

    The guides were energetic, patient and safe. The gorge is stunning, but be prepped, the jumps and slides are not for the faint of heart. It worked for our family and we would go again!

    What to expect

    Arrive at Bus Bay #7, Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence St, Cairns Marlin Marina, at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. Staff will greet you, complete check-in, fit all gear, and run through the safety briefing before escorting you to the shuttle. Your air-conditioned shuttle departs Cairns CBD for the 30-minute drive south to Behana Gorge. Your guide introduces the gorge and the day's route selected based on current water levels and what to expect from each section of the course. Embark on the Behana Gorge Canyoning Course for approximately 3.5 - 4 hours. Step into the gorge and begin your adventure. Your route takes in natural rock slides, cliff jumps, abseiling down granite walls, river rapids, and crystal-clear swimming holes. Every challenge is optional, your guide reads the group's comfort level and adjusts throughout. All gear is provided and every activity is demonstrated and supervised before you attempt it. After approximately 5 hours on site, your shuttle returns you to Reef Fleet Terminal, the original departure point.

Please note that we may use Crystal Cascades on our 6.30am departure, otherwise our 10.00am and 12.00pm departures will be at Behana Waterfalls
