    My partner and I booked a wine tasting session online for 6pm on a Tuesday. We were the only guests, which made us a little apprehensive. It turns out we wouldn’t have had it any other way, as we had our wonderful sommelier Foteini all to ourselves. We are very new to wine tasting, which Foteini sensed straight away. She adapted our experience so we could learn how to use the different senses to experience wine truly. She had very understandable techniques and analogies to help judge physical aspects such as colour, acidity, body and strength. She also helped us develop our palate to experience the aromatic aspects to the wine as well. We had 5 dry wines overall, each with a cheese pairing. Stand out wine includes a traditional Greek pine sap infused white, and a leathery red made with the “sour black grape” variety paired with a beautiful Gruyère soaked in olive oil - my partner’s favourite! Overall it marked a fantastic evening in Athens, would really recommend to anyone visiting, and we can now say we have begun to taste wine rather than just drinking it! Yamas!

    Our educator was well versed in wine, especially Greek wines. The experience was great, we learned about the different regions and grape types from all over Greece.

    An absolutely amazing time! Our host was so sweet and knowledgeable. You can tell that she truly has a love for wine and teaching others about it. My friends and I left with useful information and our hearts full. You will not regret booking this !

    After walking from our hotel to the meeting spot we were treated to excellent wines with a very knowledgeable and friendly expert who was engaging and shared information about the wines and how they paired with the cheeses we tasted with them. I would not hesitate to recommend this wine tasting for the beginner wine lover or a seasoned wine connoisseur.

We will go deep into the wine regions, back to the ancient Greek history, the grape varieties, the cultivation etc. Most of the information is projected onto our matrix and the wine charts while we introduce and explain in a casual and laid-back atmosphere. Lastly, you will learn how to evaluate wines and we will reveal how we recognize the quality in a wine.
