What to expect
Bd Anspach
We meet at the entrance of the Brüssel gallery and shop, and you will discover why this name is important within the Belgian comic, as well as knowing the origins of the comic.
Broussaille - Mur BD - Street Art
We will see several murals dedicated to the world of comics (among them, the first to be created in the city) and discover who are their authors, how they relate to each other, which are the different schools of Franco-Belgian comics, etc. Paying special attention to the so-called "clear line". We’ll see examples like Victor Sackville, Ric Hochet, Kinky & Cosy, and Thorgal.
Rue Terre-Neuve
After visiting several more murals, such as Yoko Tsuno’s, we will arrive at the house that inspired Hergé to place his most famous reporter, Tintin. Very close to the market where the bang character finds the famous "unicorn".
Grace Espace d'Art Dessin dans le Mur - Manneken Peace
We will continue to see various designs until we arrive at the graphic version of the Manneken Pis, a large mural in his honor, next to his wardrobe, where we will tell some of the forays of this little boy in the world of Franco-Belgian comics. Notable examples will include XIII, The Young Albert, and Olivier Rameau.
From here we will dedicate time to Tintin, starting with the mural in which it appears and which takes us to "The Tornasol affair", very close to the city center.
La Boutique Tintin
We will see the entrance of the Tintin boutique, where you can find various articles related to the famous reporter, and which is beautifully set in "The Blue Lotus".
Hergé lived not only on comic books. We will talk about the forays into theatre of Tintin's characters, which took place in these galleries.
After talking about the important Moof museum, the statue of this huge Smurf will invite us to talk about it and its creator and the boutique we can find next to it.
Smurfs Passage
The final point of the guided tour is under the mural passage dedicated to The Smurfs and the Brussels life and customs represented by these blue characters. Will you discover all the secrets that this mural holds?
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
