What to expect
Yu Chi-hwan Postbox Observatory
From the observatory located on the middle of the mountain, you can enjoy the panoramic view of downtown Busan, including Busan Port
Taejongdae Cliffed Coast was formed by many layers of rock being forced together beneath a lake during the Cretaceous period, and then worn away over time by the sea. The coast features many geological formations, including sea caves and uniquely shaped rocks. Visitors can enjoy walking on the forested paths, or take the train course to easily access Taejongdae Observatory and Yeongdo Coastal Culture Space. Taejongdae Park Mini Train tickets are provided, and you can take the train to tour Taejongdae Park.
Huinnyeoul Culture Village
Huinnyeoul Cultural Village is a cultural community village. Huinnyeoul-gil, a representative original downtown area of Busan, was named for its meandering stream that resembles the appearance of white snowfall at the foot of Bongnaesan Mountain. In December 2011, old houses was remodeled and reborned as a unique culture and art village that exudes the energy of Yeongdo.
Songdo Beach is 800 meters long and 50 meters wide. The average water level is 1~1.5 meters. It was one of the first beaches to open in Korea in 1913. In 2000, the beach underwent a comprehensive 5-year reconstruction and reopened with restored and expanded coastlines and the addition of several fountains. Nearby attractions include Busan’s famed Jagalchi Seafood Market and Amnam Park. Amnam Park was a military protected area that opened to the public as a nature park in April 1996. Amnam Park, as well as Dudo Park, a famous sea fishing spot, connects to Songdo, where visitors can see a spectacular landscape with seagulls, a symbol of busan, and the quiet seascape with Yeongdo Island in the distance. A round-trip ticket to Songdo Cable Car is provided, and you can enjoy the wonderful scenery outside the window on the cable car.
Jagalchi Market, located on the seaside road in Busan's Jung-gu, is Korea's largest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish. After the Korean War, the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the vendors here are called Jagalchi Ajumeoni, "ajumeoni" meaning middle-aged or married woman in Korean. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. Visitors can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and other seafoods on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
