Such a great Aquarium- spent 4 hours there- for those who don’t have time to go snorkelling and see what wildlife is in Cairns . We were on cruise on had a day to spend, as missed the early morning day boat trips- glad we did as very informative and fantastic display

What do you do on a rainy day in Cairns? Visit the aquarium to learn more about the marine life in the area. This museum is very well organized and covers inland rivers as well as sea life and plant life. There is a heavy focus on conservation and sustainability. It is a worthwhile place to spend some time. Kids will enjoy seeing all the marine life.

Though expensive at $58 per adult. Once you are in there you can see that it's well worth the price. We could have paid $20each extra to have a guided tour of the turtle hospital but didn't. We had previously been to Great Barrier Reef so seeing the Barrier Reef exhibit was awesome. Lots of tunnels you can walk under too. We loved it

Fabulous aquarium, well laid out with plenty of informative talks interspersed throughout the visit. Great protect out environment message.

We love going to the Cairns Aquarium! We have been a few times and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All the tanks and habitats are well kept and cleaned. The floor plans at both levels are easy to follow with clear views of all of the tanks inhabitants. There are also awesome little tunnels for kids to crawl into to have an "under water" experience with a view of fish life. Overall it's a great experience for kids and adults.

The aquarium was well worth it. Beautiful displays. All tanks beautifully landscaped. Just beautiful to walk through and also sit and watch the fish, snakes etc. Loved it

We spent over 2 hours at the aquarium. It’s well worth the entrance cost, fantastic staff who obviously love what they do. I can’t wait to return one day .

I loved the visit with I this aquarium. I saw species of fish I will never see in America. Weird but interesting :)

The aquarium is located centrally & has a number of small stations. A couple large tanks with fish, a few medium sharks & sting rays. We were in and out in under an hour. Admission was $163 for a family which was beyond ridiculous. We reached the end and thought we must have missed half the venue but no. Value for money would be better spent elsewhere. If you have a fish-mad child suggest only 1 parent go!

Interesting tour of the aquarium with some beautiful colourful fish. Unfortunately we missed the turtle rehab talk but we listened to some others. The big tank which you walk through in a tunnel is very good.
