    Trip started at 6am, 1 hr bus ride to a 45 min boat ride to a 1 hr open truck ride in the rain driver speeding in the rain with hard braking, horses are made to travel in uneven boulders and rocks all sizes you can clearly see and feel it was a struggle. 200 stairs down to waterfall but once their the view was great. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Drinks only provided at meal and limited food was ok. Rained going and coming water was very chopping and boat ran into mechanical problems but were quickly remedied and we were back on our way. Guide spoke mostly Spanish for the majority of the group and quick snippets for the English passengers.

    Lo único que me gustó de la excursión fue el ver "por dentro" los poblados de Samaná alrededor de sus calles, la gente y el ambiente además del pan de coco, que está riquísimo. La guagua va a toda castaña allá por donde va, la cascada es más bien cascadita y luego para bajar hasta el río tienes que bajar unos escalones de infarto y después subirlos.

    What to expect

    Departure from hotels towards the dock of Cañitas in the town of Miches. There we embark on a catamaran to the private dock in the city of Samana where we board a safari truck and head to Rancho Limon. There we will go on horseback to the Limon waterfall where we can see and appreciate the beauty of nature arrive to enjoy a swim in the Ensueño lagoon. After bathing, we return to the Limon Ranch to enjoy a typical Dominican lunch in the countryside. After our trip to the waterfall, we return to the Samana Dock to board a catamaran that will take us to the island of Cayo Levantado. There we will enjoy swimming and sunbathing in one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. After bathing, we will board the catamaran, depart back to the Cañitas Dock and board the buses that will return us to the hotel.
