Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as:
• The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it.
• The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running.
• Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were.
While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City.
Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

Guide was pleasant but many of the stories we had already heard on a walking/food tour we enjoyed that morning. There were other tours taking place at the same time as ours and that guides’ voice dominated and at times was distracting . The cemetery was very old and interesting and overall, we’re glad to check ghost tour off our “Charleston to do” list. The closest we got to experiencing the supernatural were the photos she showed on her phone. Nothing spooky about it except for the rat that one guest saw skitter into a bush. Not sure how this compares to other Charleston ghost tours but blah in comparison to others we have been to at historical hotels and the like in other states.

If you enjoy wandering about at night in graveyards, then this is for you. The moody atmosphere created by the guide, moss covered oaks, shadows and nighttime energy of Charleston provides a fun, creepy and interesting experience.
The guide was friendly, engaging and well versed in the material. How often do you get to imagine ghosts in the graveyard, while actually standing in the graveyard? Fun if you are open minded and ready for the adventure. Don't expect hard facts, rather play with the ideas and you will enjoy it.

It was 6/10. It was very buggy outside, which was not anything you can do. Overall again 6 out of 10.

We took the 930 ghost and graveyard tour on April 9. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. He made the stories interesting and fun. We had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

Our tour guide, Cass, was excellent and gave many ghost experiences to share. She was very knowledgeable about the many haunted aspects of Charleston.

This was a mediocre tour at best, and it was because of the guide. Our guide was a poor story teller, used incorrect grammar, and kept stumbling and trying to remember her stories - it kind of ruined the tour for us. Would recommend another group, as we’ve been on Charleston tours before and had a wonderful time. Different tour guide needed.

Kathy was such a gracious and knowledgeable person! I loved learning so much about Charleston and its vast history. My teenage boys and parents loved it as well and Kathy even pegged my Dad as the life of the party and silly one. He enjoyed interacting with his grandsons and teasing them with some of the spookier moments. Great memories were created, and we can’t wait to do another tour next time!

We went on the cemetery tour on 4/3 at 7:30. We had a great time. The pace was nice and casual, not rushed at all. Romain was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he enjoyed what he was doing. We would definitely book again next time we're in Charleston.

Kathy was great!!! Would definitely do the tour again. I wish we had time to look at other headstones.

Great tour! Dakota was a great tour guide! He knew the stories well and was easy to follow during the tour. We came for spring break and went to the 7:30 showing.
