Considered as Area of Importance for the Conservation of Birds (AICA) national and migratory. You will know an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a unique space in Colombia, which in more than 300 years of history, keeps alive its ancestral language, a culture described in customs and traditions, where gastronomy (delicious sweets and typical foods) , music (folklore), joy, they can take you to relive moments of African roots. It is there, where you can witness a symbol of national freedom, the statue of "Benkos Biohó" the first black man who escaped from his "masters" (Spaniards) once escaped and was recaptured near Cartagena. Then he fled further and settled in the place where Saint Basil is still today, in the year 1603.
