We are going to have short stop before David gareji in Udabno, for visiting salt lakes. Near Udabno village — a sparsely populated community in the semi-desert east of Georgia — there are natural salt lakes or saline depressions along the route toward the David Gareji monastery area. These aren’t formal touristic “lakes” with infrastructure, but rather shallow saltwater basins in the dry plains that can hold water depending on conditions.
