We booked this day trip through our hotel and it was money well spent. The temple of Hathor is massive and the moment you walk in you feel like you stepped back in time. We were there for about three hours which was plenty of time to see everything and take a million photos. The crowd size was perfect not too many people blocking the views. Our guide explained that the goddess Hathor is all about love and music and you can really feel that vibe in the carvings. The staff at the entrance were organized and got us in quickly. I would say this is best for couples because the atmosphere is kind of romantic in a mysterious way. We spent a little extra to go up to the rooftop and it was worth it. One funny thing my wife got scared by a bat flying out from a dark room and screamed. We still laugh about it.

We took our two teenagers here and even they were impressed which is rare. Dendera is not as crowded as Karnak or Luxor temple so we could actually enjoy it without pushing through crowds. The length of our visit was about two and a half hours. The admission fee was reasonable and included in our package. The atmosphere inside is cool and dark which was a nice break from the heat outside. There were a few other family groups there but plenty of space. The staff were friendly and one guard showed us a hidden crypt that we would have missed. I think this is best for families who want a relaxed day out. The colors on the ceiling are so vivid you wont believe your eyes. My son tried to touch a wall to see if the paint was wet it was that bright. The guide laughed and explained it's original pigment.

I went with a couple of friends who were visiting me in Egypt and we all agreed this was the best temple we saw. Dendera has a different energy to it maybe because it's dedicated to Hathor who is the goddess of joy. The experience from start to finish was smooth. We had a driver pick us up and take us there which took about an hour. The length of visit was around three hours because we took our time. The crowd size was small maybe ten other tourists when we were there. The atmosphere was quiet and spiritual. The staff on site were polite and not pushy like in some places. Best for friends traveling together who want to avoid big crowds. We spent a long time in the hypostyle hall just looking at the astronomical ceiling. One of my friends slipped on some loose sand near the entrance and a guard rushed over to make sure he was okay. Very attentive.

I went on this trip last week and honestly it was the highlight of my time in Luxor. I wasn't expecting much because I'd already seen a few temples but Dendera is something else. The drive there was comfortable and we had a nice air conditioned van. When we arrived I was blown away by how well preserved everything is. The colors inside the temple look like they were painted yesterday not thousands of years ago. I spent a good two hours just walking around staring at the ceilings. The atmosphere was peaceful and there were maybe twenty other people there so it never felt crowded. The staff at the site were helpful pointing us in the right direction. I think this is best for history lovers who want to see something unique. Admission was included in my tour price so I didn't have to worry about that. I actually dropped my phone in a dark corner and one of the guards helped me find it with his flashlight. Really nice guy.

We came as a family with our young kids. Dendera was a hit. The kids loved running around the huge columns and finding the carvings of cows. The experience was family friendly and not too crowded. We spent about two hours there which was perfect for the kids attention spans. The admission was easy to pay at the gate. The atmosphere was open and not stuffy. The crowd was light and we never felt packed in. The staff were nice to the kids and let them look at things up close. Best for families with children. The colors are so bright the kids thought someone painted them recently. We had to explain it's really that old. One of the guards gave my daughter a small flower he picked outside.
