    San andres is een uniek dorpje met hooguit een handjevol inwoners waarvan de meest gastvrije en zorgzame de eigenaresse is van la portada. Het dorpje is verscholen tussen adembenemende bergen met indrukwekkende views. Mijn camara heeft overuren geschoten. De terugweg naar popayan was echter minder rooskleirig: er zijn twee wegen (onverhard) waarvan 1 vanwege aardverschuivingen niet begaanbaar was: omweg via la plata en vervolgens 9 uur achter in een overdekte jeep in popayan aangekomen. Vanuit Andres is een hike te lopen langs verwchillende tombes. Wij hebben de helft afgelegd richting alte aquacate: circa 8 kilometer waar we 3 uur over deden. Het weer was met name regenachtig waardoor de zandpaadjes waren getransformeerd tot modderstroompjes waardoor hikeschoenen danwel botas plasticas meer dan welkom zijn. Onderweg (ondanks het verminderde uitzicht) meer dan genoten van de gidsloze steigende tocht door fascinerend landschap. La portada als eindpunt met een biertje en een goed bord colombiaans voedsel geserveerd door een onze altijd vriendelijke eigenaresse was paradijselijk:).
