Kawara Museum
The Kawara Museum in Ohmihachiman is dedicated to the art and history of traditional Japanese roof tiles, known as kawara. It offers a unique glimpse into the cultural significance of these tiles, which have been used for centuries in Japanese architecture, especially in temples, shrines, and traditional homes. This museum closes every Mondays, so we go to different spots if you book this tour on Monday.
