    Our special thanks go to Mohamed the guide for a beautiful day. BUT: what shocked us was the condition of the coast near Hurghada, the starting point of the boat trip to Mamiya Island. Right next to the pier where the boat departs, there was an abandoned beach property full of trash (see pictures). This trash is already spreading into the sea and destroying the coral reefs and their inhabitants. Something absolutely must be done about this, otherwise the Red Sea will lose its unique beauty.
