    Bus picked us up on time in Lassi, drive to Agia Efemia very good with Andreas the driver and Catherine the rep, very entertaining with her knowledge of Greek mythology. The actual cruise was a bit disappointing, very cramped seating on the boat. Stopped at Vathy for about an hour for a look around, couple of swim stops then to Kioni for lunch. The lunch stop was a bit rushed, find a restaurant, order food then constantly checking your watch while waiting for food because the time allowed was very limited. Glad we went, but won't be doing it again.

    We really wanted to see Ithaka, but having already done a coach tour, decided to do the cruise/tour, which was a fantastic choice! Guides Catherine and Elvira met us on the coach and took us to Sami port where we boarded the ferry across to Ithaka. We then travelled to Vathy where there was time for a drink and an explore before the group split, with Catherine staying with us to take us on the boat. The boat is run by a family, and there were only 8 of us on board, so it felt very special indeed! We had a 40 min swim stop in the most amazing spot, and then back to land to meet up with the coach group at Kioni where we stopped for lunch. A stop on the way home to try some Ithaka delicacies at a cafe where the guides were treated like family. A really special day - and perfect to have some sea air/swim time when the heat was 42 degrees! The guides are fantastic - we had a ferry delay on the way back and they kept everyone chatty and upbeat. Can't recommend too highly.

    Not the best island for me. Too many older people and no atmosphere. Quite expensive compared to some other islands ie Rhodes,corfu, Zante

    We were so pleased to see that our tour guide was the lovely Katherine and Panageus (sorry if incorrect spelling but wanted to try) we would highly recommend this day trip it was just beautiful from start to finish, we are so sad that today is our day to go home but we have experienced a holiday that we all agree has been the most memorable and one that we didn’t want to end, we are so glad we did the trips we did and would like to thank Katherine for her very warm personality, hopefully we will see you again 🥰xxx

    Sami

    Starting our day, we take the lovely drive towards “Sami” Port and we board the ferry-boat to Piso- Aetos port in Ithaka.

    Vathy

    Our first stop is to the capital of the island, the little town of “Vathy”, where we have a stop to visit the museums & churches, go shopping and have some free time to explore & enjoy the town. Then, we board our boat for the cruise part of our excursion. Leaving "Vathy" we pass by the charming "Lazaretto" island situated in the center of Vathi bay.

    Gidaki beach

    Cruising on the sparkling waters of the Ionian sea we reach the amazing little beach of "Gidaki" for our swim stop. There we spend about half-an-hour swimming, sunbathing and enjoying ourselves surrounded by crystal clear aquamarine waters and lavish green scapes.

    Kioni

    Continuing our excursion, we set course towards the charming “Kioni Bay” to have lunch

    Stavros

    After Kioni village, we take our bus again and passing by the village of Frikes, we head towards our last stop - the village of “Stavros”. There we have a stop to taste the delicious local dessert "Rovani" and admire the bust of Odysseus, the old church of “Sotiros” (Savior) as well as the beautiful “Polis Bay” a beach of great beauty. Finishing our tour, we reach back to “Piso Aetos” port for the ferry ride back to our base after a day of mythological splendor.
