    We booked three days' worth of diving. The dive shop was very professional and worked with our schedule to meet our needs. Because we booked in advance, we negotiated a rate that was better for us and still made them happy. We had some of the best diving experiences we have ever had! I personally have over 70 dives and this was one of the best run shops / setups I have seen. The team from the dive shop (reception, boat captain, and dive masters) work seamlessly to create a wonderful experience. As far as the diving itself, it was better than average, but it was not anything amazing. That could have been due to the time of year we came, I am not sure. Either way, that is NOT a hit on the dive shop as they cannot control when the animals would be around. We did see a multitude of fish, a couple of octopi, and several eels. I was really hoping to see some sharks and barracuda, but no luck. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this dive shop. They are great to work with, speak English very well, and are very accommodating for a fair price.

    We booked a 2-tank dive independently as our cruise ship did not offer o e as a shore excursion. However, the night before our dive, we learned our ship was docked 1 hour 15 minutes away from the dive shop. Even though we had to cancel less than 24 hours, Timothy was super cooperative and understanding and gave us a full refund. We are very thankful and would absolutely call on them next time we are in Dominican Republic!

    This may be the best operation I've ever dived with, and I'll definitely dive with them when I come back to the DR! I did three 2-tank morning dives and one 1-tank night dive with them. My kids came along for snorkeling on our first day of diving as well. The shop (despite the name) is located in Sosúa, right on the beach. Unlike some of the nearby dive shops that only do shore dives, they offer boat dives to over a dozen nearby dive sites. It's not the fanciest shop I've been in. They don't have a shiny storefront with lots of expensive gear for sale, and their fleet are pretty basic utility boats. But what they lack in flashiness, they make up for in the part that matters. They arranged for transportation to and from the shop and they were super flexible and easy going. (I overslept the first morning and only woke up after the owner, Tim, texted to say he was outside to pick us up. I was mortified and called him to apologize, saying I'd be ready to go in 2 minutes. His response: "Take 10 minutes if you want. If you want 20 minutes, just say so. It's your vacation!") They also provided all the equipment we needed at no extra cost. Their divemasters and boat captains are absolute professionals who provided a fun time but didn't skimp on safety. The gear was all well-maintained, and the boats always had first aid kits, emergency oxygen and life jackets onboard. In addition, the owners are dedicated to ocean conservation and supporting the local community. For instance, our divemaster, Sasha, works as a volunteer for the Fundación Ecológica Maguá, an organization whose mission is to protect and rebuild the coral reefs of the Dominican Republic which have been decimated by decades of overfishing. On all of our dives, she was collecting trash and tending to the coral (for instance, picking off snails that are damaging to the coral and are overpopulated due to a lack of their natural predators). The owners went WAY above and beyond in making our vacation a success, and by the end, they felt like family. Well beyond making sure that we had an amazing time diving and snorkeling, they helped us arrange other excursions, gave us tips on restaurants and activities, and even let us stash our luggage at the shop on our last day. Absolute class act. Highly recommend!

    I did my Open Water Diver certification with Angel. I am very used to swimming and mask diving in the ocean and he adapted to my level. He showed me the skills and made sure I knew how to do them, then we had amazing dives and saw beautiful reefs full of fish.

Your guide will then take you through a fun, informative and detailed dive briefing, going through everything you need to know to have a fun and safe time out on the water. Then it's time to head to the beach! You'll jump onto our much-loved dive boat Elena, with our super Dive Captain Domingo at the helm. He'll then take you out in comfort and style to your first dive site. Our dives are fully guided, and up to 60 minutes long, in beautiful coral reefs filled with tropical fish. After your first dive, you will either come back to the shop and enjoy some water and fruit, or spend your surface interval on the boat. You will then head out to a different site for Dive 2, which is also up to 60 minutes long. All our dive guides bring underwater cameras, and will provide you with the photos and videos completely free!
