Fantastic experience at Ebony Forest! We went hiking up to Le Morne View Point and it was great; the path was well laid out and safe. The view was out of this world! We wanted to go further, but it was already quite late, so we returned. The next day, we booked a Love Tree Tour and planted an endemic tree. It was such a wonderful experience, topped with a jeep trip to some other parts of the park with walks through the forest (we even saw some endemic animals like geckos and flycatchers!) and Sublime Point Viewpoint, where we had something to drink and eat as part of the Love Tree Package. The museum and shop are also well worth a visit. All of the guides and staff are very friendly and very helpful! We can only recommend this place to everyone who is passionate about nature and wants to support reforestation while enjoying great views and experiencing the endemic fauna and flora.

This was one of a kind experience in life. We had the best time in the silence of a magnificent forest… The staff is absolutely incredible. Special thanks to our guide Krish who took the necessary time to explain to us a lot of things about this ethereal place. The view at the top is the reason why we called Mauritius a paradise… No words will be enough to describe it. Really recommend this jewel! 🫶🏽

We have had the most amazing time at Ebony Forest this morning. We participated in the Love Tree tour, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Chris our guide was excellent, he took great care of us and shared his knowledge and passion for the forest.

We visited Mauritius for our honeymoon and in advance our friends gifted us this tour. We didn´t know what to expect, but included was a short introduction to Ebony Forest, a ride in a jeep, some tasty snacks and drinks, a guided tour through the forest where we saw many different plants and animals and planting our tree was the finishing touch. Our tour guide was Chris, he had profound knowledge about the flora and fauna, as well as the history of Mauritius and was overall a really likeable and humorous person.

We visited here and did the Love tour, contacting Ebony the night before to book for the following day and they were very responsive. If you have any interest in nature then I’d really recommend visiting Ebony. We loved it - it’s so clear that the guides are super passionate about everything they’re doing and have a lot of knowledge to share. The viewpoint literally took our breath away - it is incredible! We were so lucky to visit on a clear day. Only 2 bits of constructive feedback: • we had hoped to look around the shop following our visit, but unfortunately it was closed by the time we were finished with the tour (around 5:20pm) • we would love an opportunity to get updates on our tree after it’s been planted. Will the tag be kept on the tree / will it continue to be traceable? (Didn’t see tags on any other trees!) Appreciate that this may not be feasible, but even if Ebony offered some type of sponsorship opportunity where you could commit a fee each year to continue getting updates on your tree and contribute to the work Ebony forest is doing, we’d be interested :)
