The Itabashi Art Museum, opened in 1979, was the first municipal art museum in Tokyo's 23 wards. It showcases a diverse collection, including Edo Kano School paintings, avant-garde art from the Taisho and early Showa periods, and works by artists with ties to Itabashi. The museum also hosts exhibitions related to illustration and design.
The Itabashi Historical Museum offers a glimpse into the area's past, from the Jōmon period to modern times. Located next to Akatsuka Castle ruins, the museum features archaeological artifacts, historical documents, and a relocated Edo-period farmhouse, providing an immersive experience of Itabashi's heritage.
Akatsuka Tameike Park, one of Itabashi's Ten Scenic Views, offers a serene escape with its plum grove, reservoir, and cultural attractions. It's a popular spot for relaxation and enjoying seasonal beauty.
