    Ravi accompanied us for two whole days through the streets of Varanasi, he showed us both the most touristic things but also the most local and traditional glimpses of the city. It was a beautiful experience. Highly recommended guide!

    I'm very lucky and thrilled that I called Ravi for a tour enquiry while I had already spent a day in Varanasi. He is a gem of a person and I managed to see all the highlights this lovely city has to offer because I was accompanied by a knowledgeable tour guide as Ravi. Plus point was he spoke very good English and this made understanding the city much easier. Being a native, he had a lot of factual data to share during our visits to all the ancient monuments. He tailored the tour according to my preference, did all the bargaining with auto drivers, boat operators and took me to nice - clean eateries which otherwise I would not have tried. He is a trusted, kind and simple person who has a lot of passion and love for his city and that is translated in the amazing way he shows the city to his customers. He went out of his way and met me at 440am at my hotel to accompany me for the 5am morning Arti at Assi ghatt as I felt unsafe to go alone at that time. Little did I know that the city was already bustling at that time. As a solo woman traveller, I felt very safe with him. Highly recommended if you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable guide who is also very reasonable in his rates!

    Ravi is a nice, calm and honest guy. He has shown me the real Kashi. We have covered everything from old historical part of the city, mystic streets, to spiritual temples, and places where locals hang around and spend their time. I was amazed from Ravis knowledge and ability to explain cultural traditions. He has tailored the walk to my interest and was able to surprise me one after one. I wish there would be more guides like him!

    For our first morning in Varanasi, we wanted to get a sense of the city. This tour gave us exactly what we wanted. We covered a lot of ground, and Ravi provided a lot of information on the city, history, spiritual, and customs. As a Varanasi native, he knows his city intimately and is very proud of the heritage. I would definitely recommend taking this walking tour.

Two Hindu legends are associated with it: According to one, Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva. According to another legend, Lord Brahma sacrificed ten horses during Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna performed here.
