What to expect
Hellesylt
After meeting with your guide, get in the car and set off on an exciting journey away from the crowds of tourists. As you drive through this charming village, admire the magnificent views of snow-capped mountains, a mighty waterfall, Norwegian wooden houses located right on the edge of the fjord You will return here again to walk and take many memorable photos.
Ljøen utsiktspunkt Geiranger Fjord utsiktspunkt
In just a few minutes our first stop with a stunning view of the place where two fjords Geirangerfjord and Sunnylvenfjord meet. At this point your guide will tell you about how the fjords in Norway were formed.
Stranda
The name of this lovely town translates as The Beach. However, there is no beach here. But Stranda is famous for producing delicious cured ham, exquisite hard cheeses and the award-winning apple Cider Skarbo. Enjoy the tranquil views of rural wooden houses surrounded by mountains and the turquoise waters of Storfjord. We arrive at the pier and board the ferry. Here we have 15 minutes to go to the toilet and take memorable photos with a view of the fjord while we are crossing Storfjord.
Gudbrandsjuvet
Gudbrandsivet is located in the picturesque Valldal valley. Stop at the Gudbrandsivet whirlpools with the cascades of the powerful Valdola River and dangerous whirlpools in a steep gorge. Your guide will tell you fascinating legends of these places and show you the best places for photos. In the local café you can have a wonderful coffee with aromatic and always fresh cinnamon buns.
Reinheimen National Park
We drive through the wilderness of Reinheimenhuis National Park. Most of the area is the Tafjordfjellet mountain range with no marked trails or cabins - hitt. Reinheimen (home of the reindeer) has a dramatic landscape with sharp peaks and ridges, valleys, canyons and fast-flowing rivers. Here you can find a pristine ecosystem with reindeer, wolverines, golden eagles, hunting falcons and ptarmigan. Farmers bring their goats and sheep here for summer pastures, so our guests always have the opportunity to play and pet the bleating, curious domestic animals.
Trollstigen Viewpoint We stop at the Troll Road plateau. There are several viewpoints here that give you the opportunity to see the breathtaking landscape from different angles. You will see the Valley of the Trolls, the Troll Wall and the Troll Stairs. Be careful, it can be slippery. Follow the guide and you will find the best places for photos. Try real Troll ice cream at a local café!
Valldal
Valldal We are moving along the fertile Strawberry Valley. Only here you will see fields with vegetables (potatoes, carrots, cabbage, salad greens) and strawberry bushes of different varieties. In the July-August season you will be lucky enough to try the most delicious strawberries in the world! The secret of the taste and aroma of Norwegian strawberries will be revealed to you by the guide in fascinating stories.
Sylte
Sylte We arrive at Valdal harbour and stop for toilets, photos, coffee and ice cream. The area is also famous for its orchards along Storfjord. This is the warmest place in the Sunnmore region and a real fruit paradise! In May and June you can enjoy homemade jam from local fruits and wild berries. From July to October we visit local farms to treat our guests with cherries, plums, pears, apples and even apricots. All fruits grow in their natural environment, without pesticides.
We board the ferry, cross the Storfjord and head to Hellesylt. Upon arrival at the port, you will have time to take memorable photos at the magnificent waterfall and throw a coin into the fjord, making a wish for another trip to Norway!
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
