Old Cairo has a spirit unlike anywhere else, and this tour captured it beautifully. The Church of Abu Serga was emotional to visit. The Hanging Church was also a highlight with its beautiful wooden design.
The Jewish synagogue added another dimension to the tour. Our guide was clear, patient, and full of good stories.

If you're looking to connect with Cairo’s deep roots, this tour is the way to go. The churches in Old Cairo were filled with spiritual meaning. The Church of St. Sergius especially stood out — just knowing the Holy Family may have been there gave me chills.
We also enjoyed the architecture of the Hanging Church and the quiet dignity of the Jewish synagogue.
Lunch was great and gave us time to rest before heading to the Citadel. It’s such a majestic place, with its domes and wide views. You can see how important it was in history.
Walking Al-Muizz Street was a treat — there was something special in every corner, from carved wooden doors to the sounds of craftsmen working.

This day was packed with meaningful moments. Our guide was friendly and right on schedule at 9 a.m. First, we visited the Coptic quarter. The Church of Abu Serga felt incredibly spiritual, especially knowing the Holy Family once took refuge there.
The Hanging Church had beautiful artwork and so much quiet charm—it’s one of the oldest churches in Egypt. Then we visited St. Barbara’s and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and I loved how each place told its own story of faith and endurance.
Lunch was delicious—classic Egyptian food with fresh bread and tahini. Then we explored the Citadel. The mosque of Muhammad Ali was enormous and elegant with views that made for great photos.
Walking down Al-Muizz Street was like a journey through time, with old gates, towers, and markets that still buzz with life.

A deep dive into Cairo’s spiritual and historical roots! Our day started at 9:00 a.m. sharp with a hotel pickup.
First stop: Coptic Cairo. We stepped inside the sacred Church of Abu Serga, where the Holy Family hid. It’s hard to explain the feeling—quiet, powerful, unforgettable.
The Hanging Church was beautiful, filled with religious artwork and peaceful energy. Ben Ezra Synagogue was another unique site, offering insight into Jewish life in Egypt.
Lunch was excellent—classic local dishes in a clean, welcoming place.
Then we went to the Citadel. The scale of the mosque and the view from up there took my breath away.
Finally, Al-Muizz Street gave us a taste of old Cairo’s market life. The historic buildings, local vendors, and lively atmosphere wrapped the day perfectly.
I learned so much and felt spiritually uplifted. Don’t skip this if you’re in Cairo
