Lovely jeep ride to the dunes with our capable and friendly driver. The owner of the agency, Vikram, got out of his way to help us moving hotels. The dunes themselves were so quiet, inspiring and restful. We saw gazelles, a snake and an eagle.

We had an amazing time with Saleem our incredibly experienced driver and Taga, who made some truly delicious food. We are very thankful to Vikram for being extremely accommodating to our interests in seeing Jain temples and Bada Bagh along the way. Beautiful location on the dunes was peaceful. Thanks to this great team! Would definitely recommend to Jaisalmer travelers.

We visited Jaisalmer with the intention experiencing the dessert. Our stay in Jaisalmer was short, barely two days. Our dessert expedition therefore could not be too long. What we didn’t want to do though was visit a tourist area. We wanted to see something of normal dessert life. The Adventure Travel Agency’s office just happened to be located a few yards from our hotel. We didn’t know anything about the company. We just visited the office, told them what we wanted, liked what we heard and booked a half day dessert trip. Our trip consisted of an hour and half drive into the dessert, stopping along the way to visit a local village. It was off the beaten track and we saw no other tourists. We then drove to where our camels were waiting. Two of our party didn’t want to ride camels so they followed our camels in the jeep for a while before being driven ahead to a campsite. We rode for well over an hour to the camp where we drank chai brewed over the camp fire. We were then offered more camel riding which we declined as we wanted to watch the sun go down over the dessert and also experience the dessert by starlight. Unfortunately the evening turned out to be extremely cloudy so we saw no sunset and no stars but the whole experience was extremely pleasant. The ‘Adventure Travel Agency’, true to their word, took no other tourists, just us. We were supplied with cold beers and all the water we required. Our tour guide, Vikram Ujjwal was friendly, informative and helpful as was our camel handler. The price of the trip was reasonable. The 2 camel riders were charged £30.00 each for the trip. The other 2 people in our party who didn’t want to ride were charged £25.00 each. So we four had a half a day trip, from to 2.00pm until well into the night. (we arrived back in Jaisalmer at 9.00pm but we could have stayed longer) for the total price of £100.00. This price was inclusive of everything. There were no hidden charges. I would highly recommend the ‘Adventure Travel Agency’. Just tell them what you require and they will go all out to accommodate your wishes.

We have just returned from a fascinating 3 week couple's trip to India. Indar gave us diverse and quality tourism services. Thanks to Indar's precise plan that took into account our needs, age and interests, we were given the opportunity to safely experience India in its various shades: culture, architecture, music, tastes, smells, landscapes and lovely people. All along the way and during our stay Indar was in continuous contact with us when many distances separate us and was available at any hour! Already at the beginning of the planning, Indar brought with him knowledge, experience, dedication, connections, wonderful guidance and a huge heart. The quality of an agent is measured precisely in moments of crisis and indeed Indar proved his exact place. After precise planning ahead of time, in order to reduce costs and get started, in light of the extreme weather events (the strong monsoon that fell in the state of Himachal Pradesh), we were prevented from realizing the original plan. In order to maintain our safety, Indar demonstrated initiative and responsibility as what is in front of his eyes is not to endanger our personal safety and us and in a very short time the trip plan changed, the trip area changed including hotels and vehicles, and this in an efficient way with minimal financial damages (hotels and flights that were booked in advance that had to be canceled), in these places the professionalism and power of an agent is measured! I highly recommend Indar for his level of professionalism, responsibility, ability to accommodate and adapt to changes with great dedication in a short time with the help of his son Vicky and the office staff. What to expect

Route : Our safari takes you into remote and isolated areas of the Thar desert with its tranquility, varied wildlife and clean sand dunes. Your itinerary starts with the departure from Jaisalmer by jeep to our base camp,a drive of 50 km.( 1 hour by Jeep) Departure time - between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (depending on the month of the year). Starting from the camp, you can enjoy an afternoon camel ride to isolated sand dunes, visiting one village on the way. While riding on your camel you can experience the beautiful sunset after which you will arrive at the dunes for chai/tea/coffee and can watch your tasty dinner being freshly prepared for you over the camp fire. After dinner, campfire and star watching we return to Jaisalmer by jeep. Your tour ends at 9:30 pm. At the end of the tour we can certainly drop you to your hotel in Jaisalmer city. Menu: Dinner: Tea, coffee, mineral/filtered water, 2 mixed vegetable dishes, dhal, chapatti, rice and fruit Please let us know if you have special diet requirement.
