What to expect
Calea Victoriei
The backbone of historical Bucharest, Victoriei Avenue crosses the Old Town going north to the Atheneum and the former Royal Palace. The most beautiful monuments of the city are located on this major street and you'll see most of them during this private tour. Stops at the Atheneum, the Revolution Square, Military Circle, CEC Palace, National Museum of History.
This 19th-century monument is one of the must-see attractions of Bucharest. A testimony of the Romanian love for classical music, the Atheneum is a splendid historical monument featuring an impressive 75 meters fresco in the concert hall.
Piaka Revolukiei
The Revolution Square is not only the place of the violent Romanian Revolution from December 1989, but also the space where two distinct parts of the country's history clash: the royal past and the communist dictatorship.
University's Square
The University Square is the central space of Bucharest where you'll discover the small 21st of December Square where many people lost their lives during the Romanian Revolution, the University Palace and historical monuments like the National Theater, Sutu Palace and Coltea Hospital.
Old Town
The oldest part of the capital where the ruins of the medieval court and major 19th and 20th-century monuments are located. Stops at the Old Court, Manuc Inn, Stavropoleos Monastery, Lipscani Street, the National Bank of Romania, the Linden Inn.
Piaka Constitukiei
The Constitution Square, a large ensemble of buildings done during the last communist decade, is a must-see for history enthusiasts. The Parliament or the House of the People, the second largest administrative building in the world, occupies the central space, surrounded by communist blocks and hidden churches.
One of the oldest monuments in Bucharest, this monastery survives only partially in its original structure after being moved, in 1985, from its original location to be saved from communist demolitions.
The second largest administrative building in the world, the Parliament, or the House of the People, is the masterpiece of megalomaniac dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. A monument that compares to nothing else in the world. A valid passport is required for access at the Parliament. The visiting schedule can suffer changes in case of important events hosted by the Parliament.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
