What to expect
Pashupatinath is one of the biggest Hindu temple of Lord Shiva. It is surrounded by the holy Bagmati river and Bankali Forest. The main temple opens from 5 in the morning to 12 PM noon and re opens at 4 PM to 7 PM in the evening. You can enjoy and be enlightened with the Aarti at evening and also can worship all four faces of Shiva Linga an the main mandir.
Budhanilakantha Temple
Budhanilkantha is a Hindu open air temple of God Vishnu. The temple is believed to be one of the oldest temples of Kathmandu. The main temple consist of a pool with a reclining statue of Vishnu. The temple is also known as Narayanthan. The main statue is a stone carving from a single block of black basalt. The temple lies in the footsteps of Shivapuri hill and has a very spiritual aroma surrounding it.
Guhyeshwari Shaktipeeth Temple
Gujeshwori is the famous Shaktipith of Goddess Parwati. The temple is situated just beside Pashupatinath Temple. The temple was built by Pratap Malla around 17th century. The temple is believed to be the spot where Sati’s hips or hind part is said to have fallen while Lord Shiva carried her deceased body in sorrow.
Dolesshwor Mahadev is situated in Bhaktapur. It is carries significant importance to the devotees of Lord shiva .It is believed that kedarnath has body of Bull and Doleshwor Mahadev has head of bull so kedarnath trip is incomplete without visiting Doleshwor Mahadev.On Aug 22, 2009 Doleshwor Mahadev was officially announced as the head of kedarnath, one of the char dhan yatra by Shree Jagat Guru Bheema Shaankarling Shivacharya who is a head priest of Kedarnath.
Krishna Mandir is one of the famous as well as centre of attraction for Hindu Devotees and tourists to look around. It is also one of finest stone monument, which is build in 1637A.D by Siddhi Narsinha Malla . This temple was established with Shikhara architectural style which was imported by India. It is said that it was built with only one stone. On the passage of the Temple there stone carving Images of various God and Goddess. The first floor is consist of Images of Lord Krishna and his two wife Radha and Rukmani and it is also main area for worship. The second floor is consist of images of Lord Shiva. Since it is holy place for Hindu,It is normally open at all times. On the occasion of Krishna Janmastami large number of devotees crowd at the Temple.
