    Unfortunatly our experience was not positive. We got lost to arrive in Melides so we tried to call to ask if it was possible to do in the afternoon, but there was no directly number to call in Portugal, but in USA. Filipa finally called us and gave us the exactaly adress (we didn’t have it and we were just heading to Melides direction until somebody call us). When she finally called us we put in GPS and it was showing still 45 minutes and we asked her if we could reschedule for the afternoon because I didn’t want to disturb all the tour and she said it was fine because there was just one more couple and they were lost/late. We continue as fast as we could but she started to call us each 5 minutes to put pressure and to ask us to go faster with the car. In a total she called 8 times in 45 minutes, what was very stressful because it was the same device that I was using the GPS and my friends didn’t speak Portuguese, so I had to drive fast, deal with all her stressful calls, in a very difficult road. It was clearly that she wanted to be mean, even that she knew exactaly the time that we would arrive. Arriving there we understood that we were the only two people for the tour and she was just putting pressure because she wanted to leave soon. She complained about the time during all the tour and didn’t have any other subject during all the way apart from the road that we should had taken. When I tried to make any question to change the mood because I was curious to listen about the place she was very rude with any question and didn’t gave us absolutely any interesting information as a guide about the place. The tour took around 40 minutes. Luckily the beach and the horses were just amaizing, but I highly recommend to do it with another company. I was extremely frustrated because we planned this trip long time ago and the horse guide supposed to be the high point of the trip. I gave the tour to my friends as a gift, payed expensive price and had very unpleasant time because of Filipa that treat us very poorly. She just treated me better when I said I’m opening a hotel in the coast and was looking for partnership, but certainly I won’t recommend this company to my customers.

    Madeleina was an excellent tour guide, and the scenery was breathtaking, and her two dogs accompanied us, and were very well-behaved. We enjoyed it immensely, and will definitely go back and recommend it to all of our friends. The horses were really well taken care of, very healthy and loved.

    This was an amazing day trip! The area was serene and beautiful, the horses were well groomed and obviously taken care of and our guide Maddy was phenomenal! It was a great experience and highly recommend.

    My wife and I had not ridden a horse in decades, but we wanted to have the experience of riding on the beach in Melides. This company is terrific -- we had a wonderful guide, well-behaved horses, and a great trail. The guide was so reassuring and paid special attention to use because she knew we were a bit concerned about falling. She was the best! I would highly recommend this company.

    Dear sir/miss, to come to our horse riding on the beach, if you come from Comporta, when you are arriving to Melides, you pass the first entry of Melides, and after at the curve you turn right where it says Cemetery. You continue straight unto a dirt road for 5km. After a 20KM sign, you find in 200M, a sign on your right PASSEIOS A CAVALO MELIDES, where you turn. Continue straight and pass through a gate (if closed, please call). Then park the car (usually there is a truck). If you come from Grandola come straight on the main road of Melides and in the T section that says Santiago to the left and Comporta to the right, turn right and after 50m turn left following the CEMETERY/RURAL TURISMO sign. You leave the cementery on your right and continue down a dirt road for 5km. After a 20KM sign, you find in 200M, a sign on your right PASSEIOS A CAVALO MELIDES, where you turn. Continue straight and pass through a gate (if closed, please call). Then park the car (usually there is a truck). Please arrive 15min early so the ride can start on time. Thanks

Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden before, I will be on hand to help, instruct and support you.. Horseback rides are carried out on walk, but in the case of customers with equestrian experience it will be possible to gallop at the end of the tour, if the guide verifies that the customer has enough experience to do so.
