    Whether you are an avid expert, or just curious novice when it comes to learning about the marine creatures of all varieties, and also the birds that depend on the ocean to sustain themselves, Peter and his assistant guide are well versed on the species found off of the shores of Huatulco. During our time out on the water with him we were literally surrounded by a pod of dolphins, just magnificent! We saw so many turtles, I lost count! We even had a chance to go snorkeling. Excellent experience! Highly recommended!

    The 9 bays of Huatulco are so beautiful and visitors include many species of rays, turtles, dolphins and whales. Oceanico Huatulco is the best option to go explore the bays and marine species. Highly recommended!

    Peter was wonderful and did everything possible to make the trip special for us. He is extremely kind and knowledgeable about our oceans.

    From the moment I reached to schedule the tour, I was greeted with kindness and all my questions were answered. And I had a lot of questions! The tour was 2 hours, and we arrived 10 minutes early. The biologist and boat captain informed us there was unusual exciting activity happening immediately and so we set out a little early. Within 12 minutes, we were watching one of the most rare sights on the Oaxacan coast - Sperm Whales. We were educated about them and also the other species of whales. There was an underwater sound system on board allowing us to hear the communication of whales. The captain and biologist were so excited themselves, emotional, professional and truly shared with us their enthusiasm for the jobs. I can not say enough about the experience. We had children and adults - both English and Spanish speakers.

    I loved the whole experience, from the moment we arrived at the place the guides were very friendly and made sure that we were all comfortable, they explained it to us very well and the moment of meeting the whales was unique!! I would highly recommend the experience to everyone, they are the best in the place, thank you so much for all your attention!!

We cruise offshore to where the most dolphins, whales, sea turtles and oceanic rays can be seen. We have an underwater microphone to listen to the dolphins and whales! Our crew shares information about the amazing species we see and answers your questions. During encounters our crew collect information for our research projects.     Oceanico Huatulco

    Get ready for a thrilling adventure focused on respectfully observing the Humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles and Mobula rays too! We meet 15 minutes before departure at the Chahué marina at the palapa roofed building next to the dock entrance. There are bathrooms there for our guests. Our crew of marine biologists greets you with a short briefing on the Humpback whales, dolphins and sea turtles as we depart the marina. There are lifejackets for guests from 3 year old children up to 130kg adults. We have a hydrophone (underwater microphone) to listen to the whales singing and dolphins communicating. We take you further, traveling to areas uniquely known to our team and network of spotters for the most sightings. Our unique approach ensures us the most whale and dolphin sightings in Huatulco. As we observe the dolphins and whales our guide shares information about their amazing lives, current research and answers your questions. Our goal is to share amazing observations of the whales, dolphins, sea turtles and all the species. When it is time, we say 'Adios y Gracias' to the whales and dolphins, then cruise back to the Chahué marina for a short debriefing.
