Khami Ruins

This tour of archaeological interest. Travellers get to see the 16th century capital of the Torwa Dynasty, the 2nd largest stone built monument in Zimbabwe. It is composed of a complex series of platforms of dry-stone walled structures. The chief’s residence (Mambo) located on the Hill Ruin(Hill Complex), . The population lived in daga huts of cobwork, surrounded by a series of granite walls. These structures display a high standard of workmanship, the Vlei, Monolith and Passage platforms, and a great number of narrow passageways and perambulatory galleries and impressive chevron and chequered wall decorations.
