After pickup from the centrally located hotel in Kuala Lumpur, travel by air-conditioned minivan to the first stop on your half-day tour: Merdeka Square. Batu Caves is a renowned limestone hill in Malaysia that houses a series of caves and cave temples. Located approximately 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, it is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India and is dedicated to Lord Murugan, the Hindu god of war. The main attraction is the towering golden statue of Lord Murugan, standing at 42.7 meters (140 feet) tall, one of the largest of its kind in the world.
